VANS x Hello Kitty - The Comeback

Early last year, VANS Philippines released their very first collection of VANS x Hello Kitty collaboration. I was really surprised by this tandem 'cause I know VANS' craft is very different from Hello Kitty's, same as with their crowd. I love them both and I'm more than happy and grateful to the one who made it possible.

I wasn't able to get a pair when it was first released here in the Philippines and it almost tore my heart into pieces knowing that stocks are running out and it's just a limited edition. But due to popular demand, VANS x Hello Kitty is so BACK with their irresistible collection!

Here are some of my top picks:

WAIT THERE'S MORE! :)

VANS x Hello Kitty Summer Collection 2012 (as they call it) is going to be launched on July 22, 2012, 3:00pm-7:00pm, at VANS Glorietta 3.

P.S: To those who are coming to this event, please, spare me some good stuff!

Something to thank Monday for

Dear Monday,

Thank you for not being so cruel today. Thank you for the not so heavy traffic early this morning (i'm still late though!). I'm almost hit by a motorcycle but thank God i wasn't. Thank you that my budget permitted me to buy the food I crave for snack (Maybe I'll just walk from our house to my office! LOL). Thank you that I brought my umbrella when you showered me with little raindrops when I was on my way to the shuttle. And above all, thank you that we're breaking up in a few hours. :)

It's Not that Complicated!!! :)

Hi Guys!

let me just share this wonderful experience I had today! :)

so we attended the launching of the book entitled "IT'S NOT THAT COMPLICATED: Bakit Hindi Pa Sasakupin Ng Mga Alien Ang Daigdig Sa 2012" written by Mr. Eros Atalia and pulished by VISPRINT. It was held at BEST SELLERS, Robinson's Galleria. We arrived at the mall at around 2:30pm and the program hasn't started yet but Mr. Atalia was there already with the staff of Visprint. Imagine how my eyes sparkled seeing that he's just there and that all I need is courage to ask questions given that I also wanted to be a writer someday, but then I was chickened by the thought that he might ignore me and I also couldn't think of anything at the moment but to have my books signed. When I saw him, I maintained my composure and went straight into his pile of books and grabbed a copy of his latest novel. After we payed for the book we went back into the launching area and still the program isn't starting but I can see his supporters coming gradually.

I let him sign my books before the program starts because after the talks I know the line for the book signing would be very long.

and so the program started at around 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. The young director, Mr. Erick Salud and the actors of "Ligo na U, Lapit na Me" and "Intoy Syokoy" were there for the reading of the excerpts and of course to support Mr. Atalia. The brilliant editor, Mr. Jerry Gracio was also there to introduce the author, Mr. Eros Atalia

In the middle of the program the honorable writer, Mr. Ricky Lee came in!!! My Gosh! If only I knew he'd be there I would have brought my book "Para kay B" and have him signed it too! oh well, just my luck!

and speaking of luck -- I'm still fortunate to have my newly purchased book signed by the Actor who played the role of "Intoy", the main character of "Ligo na U, Lapit na Me" when it was chosen to be a part of Cinemalaya 2011.

Edgar Allan Guzman - still so humble and kind

Other important people were also there to share some stories, I just can't remember all their names. haha! Before the program ends, Edgar Allan surprised us with a song number. I never knew he could sing like that. His voice is just so simple and refreshing! :)

I just feel sad that Mercedes Cabral or the actor who played the role of "Jenny" still for "Ligo na U, Lapit na Me" wasn't able to attend the launch. :( but anyway, the entire program was fun and informative! all the cast and staff who shared their stories are all amazingly witty! NOW I'LL START READING AND PATIENTLY WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL OF "Ligo na U, Lapit na Me".

P.S:
Guys, Let us support Filipino writers as well.

Updates, Updates!

Hi guys!

I've been wanting to write but the month of April and the first 2 weeks of May was like a roller coaster for me. The events/occasions made it impossible for me to compose a good entry, I mean an interesting one. Holy Week, Graduation, Birthdays, Weddings, "Dalaw Patron" ( a religious act), Mother's Day, Town Fiesta. all of those require huge preparations and with the kind of weather that we have, uhh, it was really exhausting! There's no way I can escape for an out of town or even visit nearby resorts. :| and yes, I wasn't able to enjoy the sun and chlorine or the salty water of the beach. too bad. all the sacrifices and hard work are worth it though! Busy months of summer is always fun and better than having it vapid. :) I'll try to post some pictures soon.

This weekend we're planning to attend a book launch at Bestsellers, Robinson Galleria. Eros Atalia will be there and i'll have a chance to have my books signed! :) Yay! Watch out, for I might feature that event here.

That's it for now! Cheerios!

A promise of forever

April 21, 2012 - my cousin's wedding day. The ceremony was held at Shrine of Mary queen of peace (our lady of edsa). We we're all excited, nervous and emotional all at the same time and I wasn't able to control my tears while she was walking down the aisle with the song "Panunumpa".

She looked so simple, peaceful and stunning in her wedding dress
The Bridesmaid! :)
The secondary Sponsors! :)
we were all wrapped with serenity and solemnity as the holy celebration    went on

I felt a little sad when the photographer called out for the family and relatives of the bride for the reason that most of our family members wasn't able to come home for the big event, including the sister of the bride. But I'm still so glad to see some of my relatives from manila that I seldom see. :)

It's my Dad and my Mom's wedding anniversary at the same time. So here we are, taking our family picture before we proceed at the reception! :)

The Reception

The reception was held at the AIC Gold Tower. We thought it will be just an ordinary wedding reception that we get to eat, take pictures, get our souvenirs and go. Surprisingly, it was fun! still the usual, the traditional but it was fun. :) The program was arranged accordingly. The host was very precise with her instructions that's why we knew where to go and what to do. Everyone were able to take a shot with the newly weds, get their souvenirs and  write their wishes for the couple. MOSTLY, We had a savory lunch and we were delighted by the desserts (watermelon and melon fresh cube cuts and coffee jelly). Happiness in our tummies! :)))

there were wedding singers to serenade us while we were eating and a surprise dance number from the groom! :) Nikko took a video of it but for some reasons I can't post it here, haha!

Arni got the bouquet and.... oopsie.... I don't know the name of the one who got the garter!  LOL!

The CAKES
I noticed a very important thing, Even the reception was filled with love and support. Our family was overwhelmed by how Kuya Carlo's family welcomed my cousin in their clan.

Oh and also, we did enjoyed the photo booth! :)

Hooo... I can't believe how time pass us by soooo fast. we may not see each other all the time now but we will forever  have that bond in our hearts. :)

and to the newly weds, Ate Camille and (ehem) Kuya Carlo :) CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES! :)

Happy Easter! :)

I'd like to dedicate this song to my one and only savior. I know It wasn't a perfect holy week but I'd like to at least say THANK YOU for all the sacrifices you have made for all of us. No words can explain how grateful I am that you love me despite my imperfection and despite of all the pain I cost you. You never left my side when everybody else left me and mostly you uplift me in times when I can see nothing but darkness. I LOVE YOU with all my heart and soul.

THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY LIFE

You found me
At the bottom of a bottle
Drownin'
In the depths of my sorrow
A stranger
Gone too far to forgive
Dying with no will to live

Then you held me
So close to your heart
And you told me
It's gonna be alright

You're the reason that I'm still alive
These are more than just words that I write
This is love that were making
There ain't no mistaking
For you I've been waiting
Thank you for saving my life

You came to me
Put your hand in my hand
Salvation
From my demons within
Escape from
A definite end
When like you said
I could win

Then you showed me
What life shoud be like
'Cause I have you right here by my side

You're the reason that I'm still alive
These are more than just words that I write
This is love that were making
There ain't no mistaking
For you I've been waiting
Thank you for saving my life

This is the way it should be
You've opened my eyes
And now I can see
This is the way
I wanna stay
For now
For the rest of my life

You're the reason that I'm still alive
These are more than just words that I write
This is love that were making
There ain't no mistaking
For you I've been waiting
Thank you for saving my life
Thank you for saving my life
